Welcome Message

Invitation to the APITS
Dear Colleagues,

It is our great pleasure and honor to invite you to the Asia-Pacific Innovative Thoracic Surgery Symposium (APITS) 2025, which will be held in Seoul, Korea, from May 29 to 30, 2025. This upcoming conference will be hosted in conjunction with the 39th Spring Integrated Academic Conference of the Korean Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (KTCVS).

The 7th Asian Single Port VATS Symposium (ASPVS) was last held in Japan in 2019, but has been on an extended hiatus due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Now that we have overcome the challenges of the pandemic, we are relaunching the symposium under a new name, APITS, to broaden its scope and improve its quality. After a long period of anticipation and meticulous preparation, APITS promises to be a particularly meaningful event. While ASPVS primarily focused on single-port VATS, APITS 2025 will cover a wider range of topics, including other innovative thoracic surgery techniques, such as single-port RATS, new extra-thoracic approach, AI and image-guided surgery, sublobar resection and surgery after immunotherapy.

On behalf of the APITS 2025 organizing committee, we promise to do our utmost to ensure that this symposium becomes a highly educational and social meeting. We will provide a platform where participants from around the world can actively engage in sharing their experiences and discussing innovative techniques. This event will provide an exceptional educational opportunity for learning about new techniques, and we strongly encourage your very active and enthusiastic participation.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the ASPVS Committee, KTCVS Committee, KATSO Committee, the APITS Organizing Committee, and all esteemed colleagues for their efforts in making this symposium a fresh new start. Additionally, we wish for the successful hosting of the APITS 2025.

Thank you, and we look forward to meeting you to APITS 2025.
