All participants are responsible for checking the entry requirements applicable to their nationality before traveling to the Republic of Korea.

Depending on nationality, purpose of visit, and length of stay, participants may be required to obtain a Korean visa, K-ETA, or submit an e-Arrival Card before entering Korea. Participants from visa-waiver or visa-free countries may be able to enter Korea for short-term visits, such as attending conferences, meetings, or events, without obtaining a visa. However, those who plan to work, receive payment, or engage in profit-making activities must apply for an appropriate visa in advance.

As of 2026, the temporary exemption from K-ETA for eligible countries/regions has been extended until December 31, 2026. Participants subject to this exemption may enter Korea without applying for K-ETA during the exemption period. However, those who wish to receive benefits associated with K-ETA approval, such as exemption from submitting an arrival card, may still apply for K-ETA voluntarily.

Participants who are not eligible for visa-free entry or K-ETA exemption should contact the Korean Embassy or Consulate in their country of residence and apply for the appropriate visa well in advance of departure. Visa requirements, required documents, and processing times may vary depending on nationality and local diplomatic mission.
